metabolic balance Plan – Day 5 Phase 2

Avoacado, Lettuce, Tomatoes and Seafood makes a great lunch that will keep you feeling full for five hours.

I woke up this morning with an awful headache.  So awful that I cancelled all my plans for the day and stayed inside as much as possible.

I’m pretty sure the headache comes from detoxing the medicine from my surgery.   It really is bothersome because I can’t grab anything to pacify the pain so I’m just keeping my eyes closed as much as possible…even when typing this blog post which may explain some odd looking words or misspellings.

Why would I be detoxing medicine?    Our bodies are amazing machines and have the ability to store odd things in our fat.  One of those things is medicine/drugs.  Now, my body is using fat as fuel. (which happens when you don’t snack between meals and wait five hours before shoving food in your mouth.)    For two years, I carried around this fat containing medicine.  Medicine my body didn’t want.   Now, I’m forcing my body to release the chemicals and paying the price.  Hopefully, the detox doesn’t last too long.

Note to Self:  Detox headaches are not a sign of the end of the world.  The Mayans did not say we should watch out for headaches.

Don’t be afraid to make poached eggs. They don’t look pretty everytime but they do taste good all the time.
